Week 15 - 4th Doctor Appointment

It has already been 4 weeks since our last doctor appointment.....time is flying by!
We again got to hear the heartbeat which was amazing.
We go back January 5th for an ultra-sound....and to learn the gender of Little Burger!!!
Little Burger is the size of an orange!
My energy in finally back...I am actually getting stuff done around the house again (I know Austin is excited about this)!  My hunger is back to normal as well.  I do experience headaches some...the doctor says to drink caffeine to help.  As such, I had a glass of ice tea for lunch after this appointment  =)  I feel I have an official bump.  I can still hide with clothes....but I know it is there!

Cutting of the Christmas Tree

Austin and I enjoy going to a Christmas Tree Farm, selecting the perfect tree, and cutting it down (well at least I do!)!  This year we went to a place outside of Tyler on our way home from Thanksgiving celebration with Austin's grandparents.  Kate came along and enjoyed every moment of it!  After cutting our tree we enjoyed smores by the camp fire before heading back to Dallas.

Thanksgiving Duck Hunts

Austin and Kate had a great time duck hunting while in Victoria for our Thanksgiving visit.
I will never understand the love for waking up in the early hours of the morning along with hanging out in cold water...but they both enjoyed the successful hunts!
Thanks to Bryce and the ‘Martin family’ for including the Shamburgers!

Week 11: 3rd Doctor Appointment

No ultra sound/picture this week  =(  BUT we still got to hear the heart beat racing away!
It was the strangest thing to have the doctor hold something on my stomach and have a heart beat fill the room.  This really made me giggle with joy (literally)!
Little Burger is the size of a lime!
All the same symptoms for this mommy-to-be:  hungry + tired.
Luckily  I have not had ‘morning sickness’  =)

I am still eating continually but have also started to get VERY TIRED!!!
Bed time is much earlier these days….8:30PM on average.

SURPRISE!!!

We had a GREAT time surprising our parents with the news of Little Burger!
We traveled to Victoria without anyone knowing (except my brother Jason, future Uncle!).  When my Mom and Jeff got home from work, we were at the house with little burger cupcakes and Kate with a big balloon!  Of course my Mom cried with joy.
The next morning we went to Ausitn's parents house....rang the door bell and waited with a plate of cupcakes and Kate with her cute Future Big Sister sign (the balloon went flying away as we walked up).  His Mom (aka 'CC') answered the door and felt so bad....she 'forgot we were coming to town'!  LOL!  Once they figured out it was a surprise and there was a reason for the surprise, CC and Pop (his Dad) were so excited for our little blessing.  KC (future Aunt) was also in town with our niece (Eden) and nephew (Drew).  We gave them their 'Halloween' presents....tshirts with 'I'm going to be a BIG cousin'.  They were very excited about 'BB' (baby burger is what they call Little Burger) and the cupcakes!
Later that evening we went over to my Dad's house.  It was a day of coordinating with Cathy on getting everyone together.  They got it immediately (Cathy actually suspected it!).  Dad was so proud of the news...and even began his search for the perfect 'Granddad' name!  We also went over to Granddad's house and told him - he grinned from ear to ear!
We felt so blessed to be surround by family all weekend!
